Martini Henry MkII 1876 Smoothbore$650

selling an interesting example of a Martini Henry with an interesting history
Made in 1876 at the Royal Small Arms factory (Enfeild) and has clearly seen some use in its lifetime. There is little to no rifling left in the barrel, however it has been converted with a fixed rear sight likely for guard / riot use. This has been done by Enfeild as seen by the crossed out barrel proof mark and new proof mark
The rifle is in good condition, the action works flawlessly (has a light trigger pull) and the stock and forend are in decent condition. The only signs of significant wear are factory repairs to the toe of the buttstock (a common occurrance) minor hairline cracks and the obvious smoothbore barrel. The metal has a heavy patina and wood soaked in dirt and oil from age. an excellent candidate for conservation
guaranteed to be the cheapest martini you'll see on Townpost Although it is in working condition I’m not selling as a shooter because of the light trigger pull
