Winchester Model 94 30-30 Caliber Centennial '66 Rifle$1900
121views•1 week ago
This rifle was produced in 1966 to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of Winchester Repeating Arms Co. and was modelled after the Winchester “Yellow Boy” that made its debut in 1866. Winchester released both a rifle and a carbine, and there were a total of just over 100,000 made. They are highly collectable yet relatively reasonably priced due to the number produced. Here are some details about the rifle I have for sale:
One owner and never fired. I know this because the rifle was gifted to my dad in 1966 after he took a Winchester rep on a 3-day trout fishing trip in the Cypress Hills, and for years following that it hung on his office wall. He gave it to me years ago when he sold his business, and it has remained in my care since that time.
Magazine capacity: 8 cartridges
Barrel is octagonal and 26 inches in length (Overall length is 44.5 inches)
Receiver and forend cap are plated in 24k gold, the butplate is polished brass, and the saddle ring and barrel are deeply blued.
The box, guarantee, tags and pamphlet are included. The box is in good condition but does shows some wear given it is 58 years old.
Because the rifle has never been fired, and the box, tags, guarantee, etc remain with the gun it is a true collector’s piece and will continue to appreciate in value as long as it remains in good hands.
I have seen one recently listed for “$1900 firm” (it is no longer listed so I am assuming it sold), and a second one listed through a retail gun shop for sale at $3200. My ask is based on the rifle that sold.
Valid PAL required, and there is some minimal paperwork with the RCMP to verify the seller and buyer. I will arrange all that.
If shipping is required that cost will be up to the purchaser, however if in the greater Calgary area, I am willing to meet up in person for the handoff. Cash or bank draft (no personal cheque) please.
