Widely considered to be one of the best large frame percussion revolvers ever produced. 5800 of these were made from 1864 to 1865. With 5000 being for the Union Army. Rogers & Spencer fulfilled their contract on time but these beautiful revolvers were never distributed during the Civil War. They were put into storage and later sold in a bulk order as surplus.
